FORGIVENESS
PRAYER
TO FORGIVE OTHERS:
Lord, I thank You for the power of forgiveness, and I choose to forgive those who have hurt me. This is not something easy for me. You know the pain I've endured and I struggle to even bring this to you but I know it is something I have to do in order to move forward with myself.
Help me set this pain and trauma free and release them to You.
Help me bless those who have hurt me.
Help me walk in righteousness, peace, and joy. Help me have the forgiving heart you have. I will pray this prayer as many times as I have to until I have a change of heart. I am choosing to be kind and compassionate, forgiving of others, just as You forgave me.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
TO FORGIVE MYSELF:
Father, today I ask forgiveness of all the negative and harmful words I have spoken about myself.
I do not want to abuse myself in such a way. I tend to be very hateful towards myself -- whether it is about the things I have done, the way I feel about my looks, or the way I perceive my life.
I ask today that you transform my thoughts and let me understand how wonderfully you made me.
Change my habits so I use my tongue to speak hope and favor upon my own life. help me SEE ME the WAY YOU SEE ME. help me love me the way YOU LOVE ME
